Corpos femininos e masculinos da Idade Média: um estudo dos adjetivos qualificadores em lais de Maria de França (1160-1210)

RESUMO

Os estudos da literatura francesa são imprescindíveis para uma ampla formação de professores. Mas os da língua também. Entendendo os adjetivos qualificadores vistos como a expressão da qualidade da realidade designada pelo substantivo, pergunta-se qual a função de adjetivos qualificadores relacionada à temática da representação dos corpos femininos e masculinos da Idade Média? O objetivo deste estudo foi aprofundar o emprego e o contexto da palavra corpo em doze lais literários. Resultados apontam que os adjetivos são modificadores de epíteto, caracterizando, especificando ou modulando o semantismo do substantivo estudado, e que o corpo feminino era valorizado em detrimento ao masculino.

Female and male bodies in the Middle Ages: a study of the qualifying adjectives in the lais of Marie de France (1160-1210)

ABSTRACT

Studies of French Literature are essential for broad teacher training. But for those of language too. Understanding qualifying adjectives seen as the expression of the quality of reality designated by the noun, arises the question: "what is the function of qualifying adjectives related to the theme of the representation of female and male bodies in the Middle Ages?" The objective of this study was to delve deeper into the use and context of the word body in twelve literary texts. Results indicate that adjectives are epithet modifiers, characterizing, specifying or modulating the semantics of the studied noun, and that the female body was valued over the male body.
